Post Apicoectomy Surgical Instructions
Surgical Instructions
In most cases, this procedure will be performed using local anesthesia; however, some patients may opt for oral conscious sedation. Our doctors are available at all times, should a problem arise after your treatment.
Continue all medications for blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid problems and any other conditions, as recommended by your physician. If there is a question, please call our office prior to your appointment.
If you can take ibuprofen (Advil) or naproxen sodium (Aleve), it does help to reduce inflammation when taken post-operatively. We recommend two tablets of either medication every 2-4 hours for the first day.
If you are a patient of record, and have a dental emergency requiring immediate attention, please contact us at 678-990-8034. We will respond promptly. Our commitment is to your health and well-being. To ensure this, we offer 24 hour a day, on call doctor assistance, during and after normal office hours.
